Josh Trimble was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He currently resides in Chicago where he is recording and co-producing his debut project, “Love & Adolescence” along side his dear friend and fellow creative, Liam Hartnett.
His debut single, “Life Inside” came at the helm of winning Columbia College Chicago’s Biggest Mouth competition. After taking first place, he decided to release the song he performed at the competition. The song, along with many of his upcoming works, are vulnerable displays of his journey through overcoming substance abuse, the tremors of mental health, and his reckoning with the throb of his encounters with love, life, and death.
His most recent single, “Did You Know”, was released at the helm of his father’s sudden passing. Four weeks prior to the event, the song was written, recorded, and mastered all in the same night. “Did You Know” is a distant declaration of love to his father, to whom he hadn’t spoken to in months at the time of its conception. The song now echoes into infinite spaces where his father’s spirit resides and it holds the embers of the love and pain that they will forever share.
Amidst receiving an Associates Degree in Audio Production from MATC and a Bachelor of Arts with a Jazz Guitar focus from Columbia College Chicago, Josh has performed at numerous venues and festivals throughout the midwest; such as an evening slot at the Johnson Control Stage at Summerfest, The Majestic Theatre in Madison, Gibson Music Hall in Appleton, Milwaukee's Jazz Estate, Turner Hall, Chicago's Jazz showcase, The Hilton's Grand Ballroom, Metro, Distro Music Hall, among many other popular venues.
Post graduation, Josh has been on a circuit of weddings, cocktail hours, hotel lounges, restaurants, cafes, wedding ceremonies, retirement homes, among many other mainstays. He was a weekly resident at Chicago's "The Blackstone Hotel" for over a year, he is a regular feature in Plymouth Place's Senior Living Home, and a core member of H.Y.P.E.
Whilst making the rounds, he is in the process of recording, co-producing, mixing, mastering, and filming his first album release, "Love & Adolescence."
